The projector is a video output device which does not integrate the display screen into the main housing. Instead, the projector display projects beams of individual colors (such as red, green and blue) at an external screen, much as a movie projector. The individual color beams are regulated so that the colors overlap at the screen, giving secondary colors (such as orange and purple). Projector displays are popular for presentations in large rooms to be seen by many people, as the projector can be mounted on the ceiling, out of the way of spectators, and the projected images are much larger.
